CHARDHAM YATRA ITINERARY

Day 1: Delhi - Haridwar (230 Kms/6Hrs)

Day 02: Haridwar - Barkot (220 Kms/7Hr)

Day 03: Barkot - Yamunotri - Barkot {36 Kms drive and 7kms Trek (one side)}

Drive to Hanuman Chatti, from here you need to take nearby jeeps for Janki chatti (It diminishes the trek upto 8 kms), trek begin from here to Yamunotri (6kms). Day 04: Barkot - Uttarkashi (100 Kms/4Hr)

Drive to Uttarkashi by means of Barkot. Check in Hotel, Later visit Vishwanath Temple. Night Halt.

Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of stream Bhagirathi. The sanctuary of Lord Vishwanath is situated here where a gigantic iron trident is raised. The other critical sanctuaries arranged here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.

 Day 05: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi (100 Kms/3Hr each side)

We continue to Gangotri (3048 mts), enroute we appreciate beautiful Harsil town, Bhagirathi River and the most heavenly perspective of the Himalayas. After Gangotri Darshan we come back to Uttarkashi. overnight remain at Uttarkashi.

Gangotri Temple: The sanctuary, developed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the eighteenth Century, is arranged on the correct bank of Bhagirathi.

Submerged Shivling: Submerged in the stream, this regular shake Shivling is where, as per mythology Lord Shiva sat when he got the Ganga in his tangled bolt. It is obvious in winter months when water level abetments.

Day 06: Uttarkashi - Rudraprayag (175 Kms/6Hr)

Early morning, drive to Rudraprayag. Check in Hotel, night stop.

Rudraprayag: It is the conjunction of waterway Mandakini and stream Alaknanda.

Sanctuaries: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms). 

Day 07: Rudraprayag - Kedarnath (75Kms by street and 14Kms Trek)

Morning drive to Gaurikund, Trek begin from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) by walking or on by horse/Doli. Day 09: Rudraprayag - Badrinath (165Kms/7Hr)
